I have just installed Win 2000 and it wont let me cut and paste from any program to any other program inc MS Office, e-mails or web sites. I am also new to Windows BBS, so sorry if this has come up before.

Have you checked your event logs for errors that might give a clue?

If you highlight text then do CTRL-C to copy it and CTRL-V to paste it, will that work?

Shouldn't happen right after an install, but that's a symptom of the Windows Scripting Host malfunctioning. A reinstall should fix it (install/repair won't), but have a look here for a quicker solution.

I had the same problem and a reinstall only fix the problem momentaraly, u will wind up with the same problem the next day or even the same day u reinstall your system. Note that i only had this problem once i connected to the internet.

The only way i found that fixed this problem was when i installed a router. This led me to think that the problem comes from a security problem either in windows 2000 or directly from your ISP, or both.
