    Hi,

we just started getting the following message when we copy text and then try to paste it into Microsoft Word 2000, SR1 which is part of Microsoft Works Suite.

    "Microsoft Word
There is Insufficient Memory or Disk Space. Close Extra Windows and Save Your Work.
    OK "

We tried closing programs and also rebooting but that does not help.

We have 512 MB RAM and about 23 GB unused space on our hard drive so we should have plenty of memory and disk space.

Does anyone know the cause of this and how to correct it?

    Thanks for any help.

    Try renaming normal.dot to normal.old
    See if that does anything?

    Hi Daizy,

    Thanks for your reply.
I tried your suggestion before I posted and it didn't help.

I have an article that suggests replacing the "Riched20.dll" might help but I haven't figured out how to replace just one file in Windows XP Home. (I don't have a Windows XP CD. Ours was preloaded by IBM & we have a Product Recovery Partition & also a Product Recovery CD.)

I also tried the System File Checker & that didn't help.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Apparently we corrected the problem somehow. Here is what we did:

Copied the text that we wanted to put into our Word doc and then pasted it into Wordpad.
Then we copied the text from Wordpad and pasted it into our Word doc and it worked.

Now when we copy, we can paste it directly into Word without the previous error.

    Strange!

    Thanks.
