I would like to change the order of the drop down menu from "Save Web Page/Save Type as ". I tried to find something in the registry by searching for "Web Page ", but nothing that came up appeared to be related to this. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?
    I'm using Win98SE and IE 6.0.

Hi Bobs - Welcome to the Board :)

I think you will find that that is coded into the program - and is unalterable.

BobS--For my own education, where are you finding the options
"Save Web Page" or "Save Type as "?
Maybe the difference is that you use Win98SE whereas I use Win98FE.
When I click File on a webpage using IE6 the only option I get is "Save as ". That gives me a window where I do have a line "Save as Type ", but that window is a fixture of IE6 (not Win98). (And the arrow at the right of that line allows me to change the file type in which the page will be changed.)
And why do you want to change the "order "? I do not understand the meaning of "order ".

Jim - I think probably he wants to save web pages in the same format most of the time and that format is down the list of choices so he has to go scrolling every time. Easier if your preference is the top choice.

I'm in the same boat since I like to save as an mht file (brings all the pics and stuff along). I'd love it if I could make that the default choice.

But I agree - I don't know of any way to change that. There probably is one but it would need a programmer who had the IE source code and could tweak & recompile unless I miss my guess.
