I get the following error message when I try to play a CD I burned

    C00D11CD: Unknown error
Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to Windows Media Player.

Because this generic message can be displayed in a wide variety of circumstances, there is no single solution.

    What can I do???

What program did you use to burn the CD?
Does it play in any other player?
Does Media Player play other CD's?
Check the properties of the CD in My Computer. Does it show anything on it?

I used Nero to burn it to CD
I burned it as a mpeg file
It works fine on some computers but not on others.

You didn't specify your OS or version of MP, so I can only say for starters, select options from the tool button and look for file formats. Make sure MPEG is selected. Which raises another question. Can you play other MPEG's?
