    Couple of unrelated keyboard questions....

How can I remove some of XP's keyboard "shortcuts ".
Would like to assign key assignments to other uses. One of the most annoying is "Wnd Key + U" which fires up the "Utility Manager "... and will stay resident in Task List (utilman.exe) through reboot. Must manually end prior to power down. Have disabled service "Human Interface Device Access ", did not resolve the issue and hotkey is still active.

Also would like reassign a different "calculator" to my MS Internet Keyboard. When pushing the "calculator keyboard button" I would prefer it load Moffsoft FreeCalc, which includes a printable and savable tape. TweakUI 2.10 for XP has option (load TweakUI - click on "Explorer ~ Command keys" see scroll list - click "calculator ~ change" make your changes in dialog box) but it didn't work. I rebooted the computer in case the keyboard had to be remapped, still did not work.
    Thanks for any assistance.

    UPDATE

Got TweakUI 2.10 to load Moffsoft FreeCalc via "Calculator keyboard key. When in change dialog box for TweakUI, I set the target path as
    "C:\Program Files\Moffsoft FreeCalc\MoffFreeCalc.exe "
    It should have been
    C:\Program Files\Moffsoft FreeCalc\MoffFreeCalc.exe
Above has no qoutes. For some reason, TweakUI wants to "insert" the quotes. Which it will after you click.. apply / ok / close the view. Go figure.

Looks like This app will allow disabling any/all the keyboard shortcuts.

    Thanks Newt

Looks like ColdKey could provide an answer, but pricey.
If private use offered, (free or reduced) I missed it on their site.

No idea. Probably no free version.

Surprised me when I went searching that there seems to be almost no software available to do the deed and even less information about DIY methods.

TweakUI inserted the quotation marks because of the spaces between the words Program and Files and between Moffsoft and FreeCalc. The quotes are Windows' way of insuring that the complete path is recognized when spaces are present.

Thanks Jim for explaining "why" windows wanted the qoutes. I included them in the failed attempt because file properties/target used them, so I included them. But TweakUI / windows would not let the statement execute unless I took the quotes out ... and "windows or Tweak" added them in. That threw me a curve.
By the way, did you check out the Moffsoft FreeCalc? Nice having tape readout calculator when your doing some number crunching.
