    Hi all,

I have done a GOOGLE check to track down a sys32\hal.dll file...no luck.

I have had Win XP Home and Win98 both running on seperate DRIVES...NO PROBS until I utilised a multi boot software utility....forgot the name of it......I then botched and compounded the problem.

Now if I connect the 98 I get this message......Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt <Windows root> system32\hal.dll

Goggle brought me to another posting with a similiar enquiry but no answers.

Hopefully someone out there can help.

    Thanks in advance.
