I'v just bought "No One Lives Forever 2" but it will not run.
I get an error message saying i need Direct x 8.1 and a video card that supports T&L.
My pc is a Packard Bell with a SIS 650 video card and all other specification more than matches the game requirements. I have installed the direct X version on the game disc so that can't be the problem.

will this game run or is my card not up to the job??
    please help!!!!
    thanks
    David

Darich, yes the game requires hardware T & L which, I would seriously doubt, is part of the feature set of the SIS 650. Couldn't find much on the SIS 650 but I think it's an integrated video chipset which means it's not exactly a gamer's dream.

So, in short, it doesn't look like Nolf2 will run on your box. Nolf was a classic! Nolf2 was good but not as much so. I never finished it - I discovered tactical shooters and that was the end of my first-person shooter days.

If your video truly is integrated and you have an AGP slot, you could upgrade to a budget video card that could easily play NOLF2. If yes to both, you can post for recommendations.

thanks for your response...you pretty much confirmed what i thought. I had a look for info but found next to nothing on the SIS 650.
the box is a packard bell and i'm writing this on behalf of my sister so i dont even know what slots are in the machine but i do know the SIS card is using a PCI slot.
if i get another card and have success i'll try to remember to post what happens.

    thanks
    David

Your card is not TnL (stands for transform and lighting) compatible. Sorry to say that if the game requires it, you'll have to purchase a new video card. Tnl is something that's built into the card so there's really no other option if your card doesn't support it. This info comes from here.
