Under file name length in Nero 6 Ultra's Compilation Properties dialog box, I can choose ISO level 1 (eight-dot-three) or ISO level 2 (31 characters). I can also select or deselect
    • Joliet (Secondary volume descriptor and directories using Unicode)
What difference does it make whether I choose ISO level 1 or ISO level 2 if I select to enable Joliet (Secondary volume descriptor and directories using Unicode)? Obviously, there is a benefit or consequence of the choice. What is it?

And, how will enabling Joliet (Secondary volume descriptor and directories using unicode) affect the other selections below?

Under Character Set, I have ISO9660, DOS and ASCII. What are the consequences or advantages of choosing one over the other.

Under Relax ISO Extensions, I can choose to select or deselect
    • Allow path depth more than 8 directories
    • Allow more than 255 characters in path
    • Do not add the ',1' ISO file version extension

Under Relax Joliet Extensions, I can choose to select or deselect
    • Allow more than 64 characters for Joliet names

Will the selection of any of the above make any DVD I burn, unreadable in Windows 9x and up?

And what is the ,1 ISO file version extension?

    Alex Ethridge,
I'm just curious, but have you printed out the PDF "Nero Manual "? I know its 100+ pages but it seems to me that there's a wealth of information in there, and that it may help answer some of these ques.

Also have you tried the Nero "Help" System?
