Peer to Peer Networking!!!

I have 2 PC running p2p networked. Master PC as Winxp Pro and

Slave PC as win2k pro. Master pc created user and password

allow slave pc access. Network connection & file sharing without

problem. I had simple questions : If I did not assign password for

the user on winxp pro PC ( Admin user with no password) and

slave pc could not access at all. 2 question : How do

downloaded asf or wmv files by using Winxp downloader???

Please help!!! Thankssss.

 

Windows XP has security in place that does not allow for blank passwords via network file shares or remote desktop services.
These can be changed via local security policy, but I wouldn't change them.
To download those file types from a Internet Explorer Windows, right click on the link and select download. If the link is not there and the media is embedded in the window, you may want to get yourself a copy of wget for Windows and retrieve it via the url.

 

Can I edit registy or change setting of I.E to

download asf and avi files by using XP downloader (Do not want

install 3rd party S/W) if i have the URL? Thanks
