I`m in over my head! The above Address describes the worm or virus or trojan or whatever it is that I`ve picked up while surfing the net.
I`m running Win`98, IE5.5, AVG Antivirus. which I religously keep updated. AVG detected a virus and I deleted it from the Virus Vault but this thing still hijacks my home page. I`m using M.S. blank for home at present.
I downloaded" Hijack This " and copied the log but I have no idea what to remove from the log, and I didn`t want to post all that data to this board until I knew it was necessary.
Point me in the right direction.
I`m going to run AVG scan all files to see if it detects any thing new.
    Thanks in advance!!

I neglected to mention, I use Googles dropdown blocker, works great, and my ISP furnishes a Spam blocker "Postini. "
I ran the AVG virus scan again and it didn`t detect any virus.

    Hi,
I think you can find out about the Mail Viper if you went too:
www.google.com and typed in SpyWiper...I would post the info on it here but it's kind of lengthy. Also I think if you can read from a good source the info thats available about it, that some times thats better. Not maybe in all cases but this one is an exception.

Good luck and keep us posted...
