XP will work fine on one of those as long as the HD is large enough and they have enough memory.

I found several adverts for the notebook with a 2200 CPU and XP installed.

I also found a few with too little memory and too little drive space to make XP any fun so make sure you are getting at least 256Mb of RAM with at least a 20Gb HD.

Thank's Newt for your replay, it's coming with 40 GB HDD and 512 MB memory, the big question is AMD compering to Intel P4 that's my hassitation, in regular computers the AMD is fast and I think better then Intel but in Notebooks I don't realy know.
    Thanks

I have run AMD processors for about 5-6 years now. Some versions are not quite as fast as the top-end Intel chip at any given moment and some versions are as fast or maybe a little faster. But they are always lots cheaper and perform well. But I only use desktops at home.

In a small device like a laptop (and even more with a notebook), heat is the main issue and I have never read that AMD processors run hotter than intel. Pretty much a non-issue since I'm sure that if there were a problem, intel would crow about it.
