I have a book which is in .chm format. Now when i try to print i get the option whether to print the selected topic, or to print the selected heading with all its subtopics. So far is good, i am choosing the 2nd option. However, those pages which contains images on them are being printed but instead of the image i am getting a small cross and some descriptive text (might be an alt=" ") of the image.

Any ideas if i can print the images as well ?

    Thank You!

Actually, now i've noticed that if i print each topic separately using the first option "print selected topic" i will get the pictures. However using the second option to print the heading including the subtopics , i don't get the images.

I am preferring using the 2nd option because the book has several topics, so printing topic by topic would take me endless time to print the whole book.

I did a little playing around with several different .chm files on my PC that contained pictures. Results were very mixed and I'm guessing it has to do with the say the file was assembled/compiled.

One worked perfectly. Pictures both ways. One was mixed. Some pictures printed with the 'topic & subtopic' option while others just gave the red 'x' and a description of what didn't print.

One option that apparently will work (well, mostly and will do the parts you want) is to "print" to Adobe Actobat and the resulting .pdf file should print except hyperlinks but including pictures.

More info Here including some links that might have more information that would be helpful to you.
