Am I correct in thinking that Firefox uses a different Password Database to Netscape/Mozilla?

The thought of having to hunt out all those paswords and enter them puts me off the tranfer.

    Any solution?

    Labarum,

It uses the same format as Netscape/Mozilla, as I was able to use the Mozilla 1.6 password file in Firefox0.8.

In Firefox, to activate your Passwords, go to one site requiring a Password, enter it, then close Firefox.

    Next: Open Windows Explorer
Go to the salted folder of Netscape or Mozilla, and copy the current Password file: xxxxxxxx.s (the x's representing random numbers)
Paste this file in your Phoenix\*.slt folder
    Next:
Rename your existing Firefox Password file
Now: give the Netscape or Mozilla Password file the same name as the newly created Firefox password file.

E.G. If the Mozilla password file is named:
    12345678.s
    rename it to
    X12345678.s

If the Firefox password file is named:
    87654321.s rename it to
    12345678.s

Your passwords will then be available in Firefox.

    Labarum,

Mozilla 1.7a was released 2/23, and the Release Notes/What's New give this information:
    * This is the first Mozilla 1.x release with support for multiple identities on the same mail account. See the Multiple Identity Support documentation for more details.

Spell as you type is not in the offing as far as I know, but that would be a lovely addition!

Sorry to hear that you've been locked out of the Forum! Wish that you had some way to have let us know sooner...
