Browser Illegal Operation

Hi. I keep getting a "Illegal Operation-Shut down" when I open my MSN browser. If I hit the "close" button the browser shuts down but, strangely, if I don't hit close, I can enter a search and it finds the website but the "sign" still stays on the screen. It states it's lexplore. Also, if I hit any of my shortcuts on desk-top the sign doesn't come up and everything works okay. It's just the browser.
