    ... to get her own laptop, which I want to network to my Win2K sp3 desktop downstairs (wooden house). Wireless, since Dell is including a plug-in card with her machine. I thought I could buy the laptop with Win2k installed, but no dice (Dell Canada: Win2K may still be available in the States). Is there likely to be trouble getting her XP Pro to mesh with my 2K DSL system?

    Should be dead easy. You will want both machines to be using a logon with a non-blank password on the user account.
