Hi, did I not look far enough in the posted questions? XP machine. Want to move just the Mozilla profiles to a new drive from the old drive, both in the same PC. I take it the XP file transfer wiz is only for direct cable connect or network? (I tried merely copying & pasting the profile folder from the old to new - the Mozilla profile mgr. did not find the pasted profile). Thanks.

    Hi Paul,

First: Open the Mozilla Profile Manager
    Select: Create Profile
    Use the existing Profile name
Now does Mozilla see your Profile?

    If no Joy, do this:

You have to point Mozilla to the Profile Location. The registry.dat file is the pointer. With Mozilla open, navigate to the ......\ Applications Data\Mozilla folder and delete the registry.dat file. Close Netscape and restart.
See: Profile Folder Locations for your OS

In the Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings | Server Settings
Ensure that the "Local directory" field points to the new path for the Profile folder.

Sorry, but I know not of the XP file transfer wiz...

Let us know if you continue to have problems.

    Ramona :D
