    Using Win XP-Home

I have been having trouble with the operation of writing and re-writing to CD-RWs. I have a SONY DVD-CD-RW that is supposed to handle this. I have tried NERO's InCD, EZCreator 6 and SimpliCD.

I cannot seem to get it to write to the CD-RW, without overwriting and THEN being able to rename or delete a file on that CD.

I would also like to be able to write to that CD (or any other) by simply dragging from Windows Explorer as if it were another drive. Supposedly that is available

Perhaps my question was not specific enough.

I am not getting failures writing as your reply seems to indicate. I am having trouble accessing the facility in the software that would do the type of writing I want

I’ve been using Nero and InCD for a few years. I use 700MB Memorex, Imation, TDK,and also the 210MB Memorex Pocket CD-RW’s. It took a while to learn how to use them by trial and error (lots of errors).

The following is assuming Nero and InCD are installed correctly.

A CD-RW can be used as a "Floppy" by Formatting with InCD. Or it can be used over and over again, without using "Drag and Dropâ€, IF it is "FULL-ERASED" in NERO, also when re-writing to a CD-RW with Nero, the write speed must be set correctly. These may be why some are having difficulty re-writing on a CD-RW using Nero. But a properly "Formatted" CD-RW can have "data" installed by "Drag and Drop" and any old data can simply be deleted or removed by the same "Drag and Drop" procedure.

To Format a CD-RW with InCD, it takes about 10-20minutes. To Full Erase a CD-RW can take up to 3 times that number.

If I may suggest, I found it well worth it to print out the InCD and Nero User manual. I know that’s a lot of pages to print, but there’s a wealth of useful information one can find available on those pages.
