Ok, I'm wanting to delete a partition on my hdd. One is for Windows, other Linux. Linux is going bye bye and onto another machine. Can partition magic delete my liunx partition and add the free space back to my windows partition without messing up the windows one? Hope that made sense :)

Win2k can delete the Linux partition. It may not be able to read the file system on the partition, but it does use the same partition table as Linux, so just delete it in Disk Management, then recreate the partition and format it in Windows.

Should I make it primary or extended? I want my windows partition to use ALL the space on my HDD. and not just have a "free space" or "unallocated" slot.

Another question. Grub was used to choose which OS to boot in, and I know it wont be gone when I reboot. I dont want to use that, I just want to boot right into windows. Can you give me step-by-step instructions on how to change the mbr and back it up or whatever?
