    Hi,
We didn't get a chance to finish our post.

    Here it is again.

We are getting the following messages on our Windows 98 SE Computer:

When we click on My Computer, then Control Panel, we get a message:
    Explorer
This Program Has performed An Illegal Operation & Will Be Shut Down.
If the Problem Persists, Contact the Program Vendor
    Close Details
If we click on Close, the error message goes away and the Control Panel Opens.

The second error message comes up everytime we boot up and is:
    Error Starting Program
A Required dll file, EZTEXT.DLL was not found.
    OK

Does anyone know what causes these errors and is there a way to correct the problem.

    Thanks

For the 1st error, you need to click on the "details" button and paste the entire error message here.

For the other, I believe you have an IBM rapid access keyboard.
Go to this site. . Then click on missing dll.

Ditto aleekat's request to click on the Details button when you get the Illegal Operation window. There a quite a few things that can cause this.
We need a response from you on this question if we are to help you, else we are just taking a shot in the dark.

    Hi All,
Your suggestions worked. I no longer have the error messages.

MS KB Article 171753 did not correct the problem for the first error but MS KB Article 170476 did correct it.

The updated driver for IBM's rapid access keyboard worked for the second error.

    Thanks again for your help.
