When I go to a web page and try to print from the printer friendly link I get this error

Your browser don't support referer links.
But you can manually view the printerfriendly page:

I have looked in the options and can't see anything to change this option.

Anybody got any ideas on this

Which version of IE are you running? Which OS?

Check on the Tools menu... Internet Options... Security... Internet Zone... and set it to Medium if it isn't already. High security prevents JavaScript from running.

Also, pop-up blocking software could prevent the printerly-friendly window from popping up.

To follow up on Rick E's post - compare the IE security settings on your 2 PC's.

Flack - do you have the problem when you click on the Show Printable Version line at the bottom of this (or any forum) thread?

Thats funny it works with the links at the bottom of the page here, maybe its the site itself that has the problem.. ?

Post the URL. Several folks could check it that way and give you a good idea if it is your system or the site.

I get the same message as you do re. referrer links. Tried putting the site into the Trusted Zone - same message.

My guess it is the site - I have no problem with other printer friendly links.

XP Pro SP1 + IE 6 SP 1 fully patched.
