    Hello all,

I recently got a scanner from my folks and installed it on my WinXP Pro computer. I've installed all the drivers and it works just fine except the buttons on the front for "COPY ", "SCAN ", and "EMAIL" don't seem to work.

At first I thought it was because in the services.msc there was a problem with the Human Interface option. So I went in there and sure enough, it was disabled. So I enabled it and tried to start. When starting, I get an error message; "Error 126 The specified module could not be found ".

I also have WinXP Pro on my Vaio and I tried to enable this on that computer as well with the same results.

Am I barking up the wrong tree?? Is this the problem? Please help.

    Thanks.

    not necessarily ..........

    Quote from Black Viper

    " Human Interface Device Access

You may not have any peripherals that require this service. If one of yours magically does not function anymore, set it to automatic. Namely, scanners with function buttons (fax, copy) or even an Internet keyboard with volume or play controls. "

I have no idea at present why you now receive that error message :(
