Is there any way to remove a hotfit from the add/remove program list in control panel? I don't want to actually uninstall the hotfix I just want to remove it from the list. Figure that there is a place in the reigistry that can do this but not sure where. Also are there any negative issues with doing this?

Instructions on how to remove entries from the Add/Remove Programs list are on this page.

Whether removing an entry that is still installed will create problems...I doubt it but proceed at your own risk.

    thanks...

Thanks Miz! I knew someplace out there in cyber land there would be a page for that. I have removed one, after backing up the reg, and so far everything seems to be fine. Really don't see any reason that deleting these could get me into trouble since if there is a fix for a fix, you don't have to unintall.
Looked for where you can take care of this with Tweak UI like it says on the web page but I don't see it. Could be that I have the newer version. I crashed a month or so ago and had to revert to old files. Seen several places here that say that it was not available for some time for revamping.

    Thanks Again!!

If my memory serves me correctly, this has been discussed before. If You are confident that a hotfix is working properly, then it should be safe to delete the entry from the add/remove list.

In c:\windows, there is one hidden folder for each hotfix that is in the list. These folders contain what is needed to "roll back" to the previous state. If You remove a hotfix from the list, then You might as well remove the corresponding folder which is rendered useless.
