    Hi,
Is there a way, or is it even nesessary, to create a Start Up Disk as you did in Windows 95 and 98?

    Thanks

    Hiya jslow,
I'm a firm believer in always having a working bootdisk available, but I'm also the laziest person on the planet, and use Bootdisk.com . Just make sure to download it to your computer, double click it...and wait for the prompt for you to insert your floppy to copy to.

Unless you have a specific reason you can always boot from from the CD ROM.
    Win2K / XP are all bootable CD's

    Syart Up Disk

    Hi,
    Thanks for the replies.
ssmith10pn, we do not have a Windows XP, HE CD. We have an IBM computer and Windows XP, HE along with some other software came preloaded on the computer, that's why we want a Start Up Disk.

    Thanks again

    I don't have XP but,

There is a process offered for making a boot disk for XP at XXCOPY SITE There is also a Yahoo discussion group for XXCOPY that has covered that problem. You can find it by doing a Google search for XXCOPY GROUP. It's moderated by the creator of XXCOPY, Kan Yabumoto (sp?) and if you want to, join the group and ask for the latest dope on that XP disk. After you survive all the criticism for not reading the past posts, You'll probably get directed to the info you need. :)

I offer all this without any guarantee. HTH
