    Welcome to WindowsBBS!

Right click on blank area of taskbar, make sure there is no checkmark next to 'lock the taskbar' then left click and drag it down to where you want. You can place it left, right, top or bottom.

emily - don't feel bad. This is a very common question about a situation that drives lots of new users crazy. Started with Win95 and continues with XP.

    Emily,

No need to feel like a retard :) The question has been asked by a thousand people :) My head IT guy was having problems with it for a while hehe (He was a big Unix user for about 30-40 years)

    emily,

I also have to say, "Don't feel bad! ", and don't put yourself down. I too was wondering how to do the same thing once upon a time. You've come to the right place. :) Don't hesitate to ask more questions as needed. But remember to search for previous posts on the topic first. Might save yourself some time waiting for someone to reply.
