    Hello,

I think I'm in a bit over my head (?). I've set up a Windows 2000 server as a domain server. There are two networkcards in the system, one is used for cable-internet, the other for the home-network. When I connect the cable-internet cable to a different machine with one networkcard I get connected. When I do it in the server, it seems like Windows doesn't recognize the incoming data. Somewhere along the line I've done something wrong, but I don't know what. Home network seems to work (dedicated IP-addresses), Cable-internet needs the IP-addresses to be assigned by the Cable-company.

Any suggestions how best to set it up?

Make sure your adapter plugged into the Internet has dynamic IP address enabled on it. Then as long as you are not running your own DNS server, you can use ICS to share that connection. Your internal address range will change to 192.168.0.1-254.
All of your internal clients should use DHCP. The address will be assigned by your server.
If you are using DNS, then you will have configure RRAS with NAT to allow you to share your connection to the Internet.

SteveS - you'll do better to start yourself a new thread in the networking section with details of how you are set up and what you want to do along with specific problems you are having.
