Does anybody know if/how I can remove the read-only file attribute from all files in a folder, or a select group of files.. in W98. I have seen that it's 'do-able' in XP, but I'm still on W98.

    AttribTree worked perfectly!!

Thanks so much for AttribTree vbs code.. it worked 'as advertised'; you saved me a lot of grief manually resetting all the attributes. Nice job and thanks for taking the trouble to share it with me.

No trouble at all. It took me longer to sign and admit to my alias than it did the link. ;)
