Hi all, have posted on this board before and you people know your stuff, so am hoping you can help me out with 3 errors I am getting.

My system is Windows XP Home (full edition), 3200+ Athlon, 512mb RAM (DDR400), ATI 9200SE 128MB Graphics. I have loaded all Windows updates for my system and have SP1 installed.

    Well here goes:-

    1. The general purpose usb driver (adildr.sys) service failed to start due to the following error: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

    2. Error code 0000000a, parameter1 99035b14, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 0000000, parameter4 8050ae77

    and the final problem:

    3. Fault bucket 21955421

I have done a search on google for all three items but am getting nowhere so am hoping against all odds that someone can tell me what the problems are and how to sort them out.

Thanks for all your help with my problems

    Martyn

Thanks to both of you for replying, heres what I have done so far.

For no.1: uninstalled and reinstalled drivers for usb pci cards and hubs, but still coming up with errors.

For no. 2 & 3: not too sure what to do actually so haven't done anything.

I have tried the links in google for 'Fault Bucket 21955421' but just speaks about it generally and doesn't really give any help as to what to do about the problem.

These errors btw only seem to happen when programs are open. For example games and dvds sometimes will just crash out to desktop or system will reboot. I found these errors using the Event View in the Admin Services folder in control panel. These three are always coming up. I think that it is the 'Fault Bucket 21955421' that is the main one for causing this to happen but can't find any info about what it is. I have installed latest ATI Catalyst drivers and had same problem so reverted back to the default drivers that came with graphics card and still get some problems with that.

Hope this helps with anything that I didn't cover in my first post.

    Good luck all!!! :)

I think I have narrowed it down to either a graphics card problem or a ram problem. Have downloaded and run the memory testing program from Microsofts site and there don't appear to be any problems with the memory, or at least it said it had not reported any. Just about to contact ATI about graphics card. Will let you know what happens.
