This just started happening--when I click on a hyperlink in an email it opens in a tiny little window and I have to click maximize to see it. This also has happened to me in Google. How do I change it back to opening in the bigger window instead of having to hit the maximize button?

    I'll appreciate any help! Thanks!

It's one of those Infamous Microsoft Perk's....

IE is defaulted to remember the "size and position" of the last secondary window closed if: It was the last IE window closed and the maximize button wasn't used to enlarge it. You may have closed a window while it was in this nuisance size.

    The fix:
    1. Open IE, go to a page with links
    2. Open a link in a new window
    3. Resize that second window by hovering the cursor over an edge and/or corner until it turns into a double-headed arrow, then holding down the left mouse button and dragging it to the size you want
    4. Close the original window maximized - important step, this won't work without it
    5. Close the window you resized by hitting and holding the keyboard "control key" while either using the X to close or "file "> "exit ".

All future IE secondary windows will open to the size and position of the window you closed in step 5. Also worth noting is that, sometimes, the secondary windows will default to the size you have set for your "restore" function in the via the "double box icon" upper right hand corner of the window. It helps to check on this size also.

Also make sure any shortcut>properties>windows size is set to either Maximized or Normal. This is checked by right clicking on
the shortcut and selecting "properties ".
