HELP! Trojan Horse Dialer

Greetings all - need help eliminating Trojan Horse Dialer. First showed up on 01-31-04 in Windows\Sustem\IA.dll - AVG anti virus located it and I moved it to the virus vault. AVG updated on 01-24-04 and set to run daily, so I do not think this existed before. Same virus showed up on 02-01-04, only this time is located in C:\_Restore\Temp\(numbers).CPY. AVG was unable to remove or move to virus vault, so virus still exists.

Ran into something similar quite a while back, but don't remember how to isolate those pesky _Restore files.

BTW - Running WINME

You probably have disable System restore
Right click the My Computer icon on the Desktop and click on Properties.
Click on the Performance tab.
Click on the File System button.
Click on the Troubleshooting tab.
Put a check mark next to 'Disable System Restore'.

You can then restart in safe mode and do another scan
It probably wouldn't hurt to do a disk cleanup also.
After you reboot back in normal mode reenable system restore.
Just a suggestion but do you have a spyware checker.

S&D 1.2 is a good choice, I also use Adaware.

Download, install, UPDATE and check for problems.
