    hello,
not even sure whether the irc clients are worm/malware security risks but need to use 1 and currently am being bombarded by myDoom

    for win95B and win98 se
browsers: mozilla 1.6 (learning) and communicator 4.77 (mail and "browsing ")

i need to dLoad either icq (i hear there's a light version) or messenger or downGrade and set up AIM.

which of the 3 above are the least likely to be targets and security risks?
    thanks in advance

The messengers all have exploits and usually are related to your overall security. Most of the problems with yahoo are due to the ties to Internet Explorer used to deliver the banner advertizing. Based on search results for exploits ICQ has been the least secure for years.
