I recently re-installed XP Home (fully with re-format of the partition). Attached to my PC was a LaCie 80 Gb hard drive on which I stored almost all my backup/copy data for this event. Prior to re-install the disk was functioning correctly. I used automatic IOMEGA backup and Explorer to write to the disk.

Since the re-install I only get the message that the disk is not formatted. So all seems to be lost!

I cannot remember if the hard drive was connected during the re-installation but that is too late now.

    Can anyone help?

This is news to me - but, have never tried doing what you just accomplished. #&??#&%? Was the Lacie a SCSI and was it running off a seperate SCSI controller card?

    ;)
