    Hi,
I have netscape 7.1 and my address book is defaulting to the personal address book.
I have a different addressbook that I want netscape to default to.

    How do I do that.
    Thanks.

    Hi Bill,

Netscape won't allow you to change the default Address Book. What you can do, is drag and drop the addresses from the Address Book you want for default, to the Personal Address Book. It takes a little juggling but really not difficult:

First: back up your Profiles Folder

    Create a new Address Book
    Name it anything you wish

    Next:
Highlight (CTRL+A) all the Addresses in the Personal Address Book
Left click and drag all the Addresses in the Personal Address Book, to the newly created Address Book
    Caution:
Open the newly created Address Book to ensure all your addresses are there before proceeding to the next step

    Next:
If all addresses are in the newly created Address Book
    Open the Personal Address Book
    Highlight (CTRL+A) all the addresses
    Delete the addresses

    Next:
Open the Address Book containing the addresses you want for your default Address Book
    Highlight (CTRL+A)
Left click, and drag all the addresses to the now empty Personal Address Book
You should now be a happy camper!

Let me know if this isn't perfectly clear.
