I think you can only minimize it to the taskbar.

I have a friend who uses this to put OE in the system tray. No problems with it, AFAIK.

I use HideOE, linked to in Johanna's post, and it works as advertised.

There is a registry edit to accomplish the same thing:
    1. Open Regedit.
    2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Preferences
    3. Add a new DWORD value and name it MinToTray
    4. Set it equal to 1.
    5. Restart Outlook, it should now minimize to the tray.

Dear Miz, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Preferences , thas fine, the problem is I don't have 10.0 only 8.0 or 9.0. I put the new key u instracted in 9.0, I don't realy know if it's metter or not , the result it's not working for me.

My apologies...those instructions are for Outlook XP only...not Outlook Express or Outlook 2000.

Looks like using HideOE is the best solution. It's the one I chose, anyway. ;)

    Again, sorry for the misinformation.
