Im am doing a Reinstall Of XP. The Question is, Do I need to leave all the Internal hardware, (Radeon 9800 video, Win TV card), external hardware, (external hard drives (2), and DVD Burner) connected during loading or connect after XP is up and running? also is there a specific order to load Big programs such as Office XP, Tweak XP, and Norton System Works.

Leave your internals in place, turn off, unplug and disconnect your MODEM, externals, printers, scanners, cameras, etc.- and anything on a USB port. After you install XP, and before you go online, install your internet security program(s). Then reboot, and let XP find each thing as you connect it, one at a time. It's a little slower this way, but if you have to troubleshoot a problem, doing it like this will save you a lot of frustration. It doesn't matter what order you install your other software in, just remember to reboot periodically. PeteC posted this link awhile back, and it goes through the actual XP install in great detail, and distinguishes Pro from Home. If you are interested in partitioning, and want more info about it, do a search on this board. There have been quite a few informative threads about partitioning, why and how, recently. Another thing you may want to consider doing is downloading your MS updates from the MS catalog site and burning them to a cd. Good luck, have fun, and if you have any questions, post back!

It will be a few days before I am able to do the install. I will post back and let you know how it went.
