I use Outlook for my email and I cannot open it since last night. I don't know what happened, but when I try to open it I just get a Message box that says:
Outlook has caused an error in OUTLLIB.DLL. Outlook will now close.
If you continue to get this error try restarting your computer.

I have restarted and shut down several times, and it still will not open. Can anyone help me or am I in the wrong place to even ask this question. I would be willing to use Outlook Express, but I don't know if this will fix my problem.
    Thanks
    Mary

Thanks for the suggestions, but so far I haven't been able to fix it. Whatever this is, there just doesn't seem to be a solution. I wouldn't care so much, but I can't get all of my addresses from my address book and all of my saved e mails. I am able to use the Outlook Express which I am not crazy about, but at least I can send and receive email.

    Thanks
    Mary

    What OS?

Have you tried a repair or reinstall of Outlook (or maybe MS office itself)?

To find your address book, do a search for wab (windows address book) then you can copy (import) into OE while you figure out the Outlook problem. I moved mine from the default location, and don't remember exactly where it used to be- but I think it was in C>doc & settings> user name>application data>Microsoft

I tried a repair and a reinstall, (twice) neither worked. I finally played around in Outlook Express and found an Import/Export option in the File drop down and was able to transfer all of my saved E mails and addresses from Outlook. It worked out great to at least recover all of the things I needed. Still don't know what happened to Outlook though.......Very Strange.
I was thinking about using Express for my e mail anyway??!!?? Thanks for all of the suggestions.
I will just have to go with Express, this is wayyyy toooo frustrating.
