I'm trying to help my father-in-law, as he is having trouble getting his Lexmark Z51 printer to work. He has a 3-year old computer, or so, and is running Windows 98. He recently installed the newest Turbotax program, and since then his printer won't print. The printer program gets to the point where it says it is printing, but it doesn't. I uninstalled and re-installed the drivers, and even downloaded drivers from the Lexmark site, to make sure they were up to date. The printer cable and power cable seem to be OK. The printer's lights are on.
As usual, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I took my printer over to his house and installed it and it worked fine. So, the problem seemed to be with the printer and not the computer. As it is probably cheaper to buy a new printer then pay someone to fix the old one, they bought a new printer. It works fine. Problem solved.
