After installing critical updates from Microsoft, I seem to be having several small problems. One is the Win 32 Application error trying to open IE, another is that I can't open any web pages from within another application, I have to manually go to Address and manually type in the web site.

Does anyone know what was in these updates to cause these issues and how to correct?

    Thanks

    Dave,

I don't get anywhere when I click on "here" in your reply. This is the problem I'm having....can't go anywhere unless I manually type in the address code from the browser.

I followed the instructions on the page, but can't even get started! When I type in "regsvr32urlmon.dll" it says can't find. The solutions after this all apply to this being there...what to do??

Even though this started after Win updates, it sounds more like an IE problem. Have you tried repairing IE via the add/remove programs? Look for IE there, highlight, click add/remove. You should get the option for repair.

Did you reboot after installing updates?

Go back to Windows Update, click view installation history, and tell us what updates were installed.

elaine--What "Update" was it that caused the problem? I have noticed recently that I have to copy and paste links on some websites instead of just clicking on them (as I have for five years).
