Hi Joka and welcome to the board.
Do you have the hardware and software to "burn" files
    to a CD ?
If so please let us know the make and model of the hardware
and the name and version of the software.
Note that if you have neither the hardware nor software,
you are not able to copy files to a CD.
    regards

Hello Joka - welcome to the board,

If you don't have the answer to your question, then it's not too simple.

From your question, I am assuming that you don't have a CD burner on your computer. If this is the case, then you will not be able to copy files to a CD. You need a CD burner (as opposed to a CD-ROM) and an accompanying program such as Roxio CD Creator or any one of a number of others that you can probably find through a search of posts on this board. Once you have a CD burner and program, the file copying is as simple as "drag and drop" that you probably use now to copy files from or to floppies.

This probably not the simple answer you were hoping for but I hope it helps. In any case, be sure and post back to let us know if your question has been answered or if you need more input.

Thanks for your reply Merlin and Virginia. I now know more than before. Yes, I do have a cd burner-Verbatim cd-rw.Also have Nero Express software. I have tried to copy files to cd but can't be sure there there. I'm not sure how to access the disk pictures once they are burned. Further help would be much appreciated.Thanks.

    Joka,

The easiest way to determine if your CD contains the photos is to use Windows Explorer to see what files are on the CD. I'm not familiar with Nero Express but I would think you would be able to use that program to see what files are on the CD. Also, most printers come bundled with some kind of photo or image processing program that should let you view most photo formats. My HP came bundled with Adobe PhotoShop 2.0 - very basic program but views most image formats.

The best bet is to download (free) Infranview http://www.irfanview.com/ . This is a handy little program for viewing all kinds of graphics files.

When using Nero Express, do not use the Video\Pictures option. Use the Data CD option. This is for burning files for storage on the CD.
The Video\Pictures is a whole different story, think of it as Kodak Picture CD. When done with, you put in the disk and you get a show.
Nero also has a thing called InCd. It attaches itself to Windows Explorer when running and does Drag & Drop with a mouse, like moving files from one folder to another.
Two things about it, it must be a CDRW disk to use with InCD. The second is that InCD is very prone to freezing, at least with my system. I haven't really tried to sort it out, yet.
BTW, I assume you received the Nero software [any version of 5.x.x.xx] with the burner. You can go to this site and download the latest 5 version for it.

    Mine is 5.5.10.50.
If you have any version of 5, going to any version of 6 will cost.

I had the same problems with InCD, until I went up Nero's site, downloaded the InCD cleanout tool, uninstall it from my system, and downloaded InCd from Nero. All my problems were with the InCD that came packaged with Nero.

    Thanks All for advice.
Aleecat, took your advice an uninstalled InCD. Then reinstalled from Nero site. Can't tell how successfully yet. Seems I have another problem. Windows explorer doesn't seem to recognize my driver? Message keeps repeating " Drive D:\ is not accessible. The device is not ready." I have recently uninstalled Windows and then reinstalled. Would this have something to do with the problem?

If drive D is your CDburner, did you reinstall it?
