    Hey,
How do I make the WinXP Start and Favorites Menu only show the most used shortcuts and links the way Windows 2000 Pro does?

    Thanks For the help

Control Panel > Taskbar and Start Menu, Start Menu tab, Customize button.

    "Use Personalized Menus ".

Same thing in Internet Options, Advanced tab for IE Favorites.

Ok the option to set the favorites menu on personalise is there but the one for the start menu is not. I double checked and it's not there? Any idea's?

    It should be there.

After getting into the applet, you need to click the Start Menu tab and choose the Customize button on that page. Not the one on the first page.

The Personalize option is the last one on my list when I scroll down to it, and should be on yours unless "customized" by some 3d-party software.

Right-click the Desktop and choose Properties.

Click the Desktop tab, and then click "Customize Desktop" button at the bottom. At the top of that page, choose the system icons you want on the Desktop.

You're right that the setting for Personalized Menus doesn't seem to be there when the default Start Menu is used. And I can't find it anywhere else.

    Anyone? Anyone?
