Control panel problem

When i open control panel this error message comes up-

VirusScan: Avsmcpa.dl

the specified resource language ID cannot be found in the image file.

Then it goes on to say the locations of the file. This happened ever since i uninstalled mcafee virusscan 6.0. Now i have EzTrust virusscan 6.1 (which is way better). The only way of not letting the message show is going on tweakUI and unchecking the box under control panel extensions.

McAfee didn't go quietly or completely.

I looked around and found instructions for doing a manual removal (or completing the removal of junk left after add/remove) but could only find directions for 4.x, 5.x, and 7.

Forum Here for versions 5/6 and quite a few threads on removal so my guess is you'll find specifics there.

If not, google for manual* remove* virusscan and take a look at one of the how-to things for 5 & 7.
