Converting files from Win95 to XP

    My old computer has Windows 95, I just purchased a new computer with windows XP. Windows automatically transfers my old files, but converts the files to script. They are not readable. Someone told me I need to download something in order for XP to recognize the Windows 95 old files. The technicians at Dell can not help me, but gave me this web site to help me out. I hope someone understands what I am trying to do and there is an easy solution to this. Thank you.
