    Well this is my first time on this post but it sounds like this is the place to find out how to fix problems. Ihave used the windows 98 game minesweeper before and have had no trouble but now it is set up high on my screen and i can't get to the top of the game board to change any of the game setups. I tried to click on it and drag but it don't work. Any sugestions will be greatley appreciated. Thanks KENTUCKY-NICK

    Right click on the game's icon on the Task Bar at the bottom of the screen and left click on "Move." That will allow you to grab the Minesweeper window anywhere and drag it to where you want it.

    Hmmm....well it should work but I just tried it on Minesweeper and it didn't even though it works on every other window I tried it on. I'm using XP, though, so your mileage may differ. ;)

    Did you custom size the game to enlarge the board?

    Try fiddling with winmine.ini. Edit the xpos and ypos numbers. Mine are:
    [Minesweeper]
    Difficulty=3
    Height=8
    Width=8
    Mines=10
    Mark=1
    Color=1
    Xpos=533
    Ypos=132
    Time1=999
    Time2=999
    Time3=999
    Name1=Anonymous
    Name2=Anonymous
    Name3=Anonymous

    =======
    Mkae a backup of original ini or make a mental note of what these are before opening in notepad to edit.

    ========
    opps...guess you'd have to be a real mentalist to make a note of the numbers before opening in notepad, so make a mental note after opening. :D

    ========
    Just discovered another trick that may work. Drag you startmenu taskbar up to the top. Placing the startmenu taskbar there, knocked the game down low enough to access minesweepers toolbar.

    I so need to get a life..........:D

    In case winmine.ini is a hidden file, you need to make sure your folders option>view settings are set to see these when doing a file find:
    Make sure you have the ability to view hidden files by adjusting preference options in....
    1>Click on My Computer icon or if in explorer>toolbar>view
    2>click on toolbars "View" category
    3>click on "Folder options "
    4>click on "View" Tab:
    5>and scroll to the [Hidden Files] section and enable or disable the options below by unchecking or checking as designated:
    "Do Not show hidden files "=unchecked
    "Do not show hidden or system folders "=unchecked
    "Show all Files "= checked
    "hide file extensions for known files "=unchecked

    Now do the file find. Editing the winmine.ini is very simple to do and undo.
    ================
    The methods below are much simpler and recommended over the editing of winmine.ini

    While the taskbar move should work, you could also open another window or two and click on the blank area of taskbar and select the options of "Cascade *" or "tile blahblah ", this may reposition the game.

    You could also try adjusting your display resolution. This often forces a repositioning of icons and windows.
    =========

    While I don't think the "file find" and edit should be your first choice, here's the answer your question:

    You can access the games toolbar by hitting your ALT and then the enter keyboard keys. The mouse should still work on viewable choices but the arrow and enter keys also work for selections.

    Bad news is, I tried this via the game and while I could adjust the grid sizing via the "custom" option it did not reposition the game. It made it bigger or smaller but the toolbar was still stuck out of range. The notepad edit did however move the game.

    ==========
