I Have this program named SuperVoice in my ad/remove list an it has an uninstall option, but does not uninstall. Did this program load from the XP set-up disk? Do I need it since I have an all-in-one Printer which I use for fax, etc. ? If not needed, how do I get rid of it?
    IE 6.0
    Win XP Home

    Thank you

SuperVoice may be installed with a voice/fax modem - does your all-in-one printer contain a modem or have you one in the PC?

If you don't use the voice (answering m/c) facilities of the modem you can safely dump SuperVoice.

    This is their URL http://www.supervoice.com/

My HP 2210 series all-in-one doesnt have a modem. When I did a clean install of XP Home a few days ago, I had to buy and install a new modem in tower. ( U.S. Robotices, 56K Faxmodem PCI for Windows.) My old Creative ModemBlaster drivers would not work with XP and I didnt have a way to connect to internet to download new one's and didnt want to wait for new ones to arrive by mail. Thus the new modem.

    The question is ........

Which modem install CD loaded SuperVoice to your system?

When a program will not uninstall via Add/Remove Programs the usual trick is to reinstall it and then uninstall it - this generally works.

In RE: to which modem installed this, that was my query in my first post when I asked if it was installed by the XP software. I dont know if it came from the XP software or the new moden software. Nothing on the modem box says anything about SuperVoice, so I dont want to reinstall anything until I know where it came from originally. When I try to uninstall it from ad/remove list, I get this little square box with a yellow triangle inside it with an exclamtion point, next to that is the numbers 13102. underneath the box is an option to ..OK. But it doesnt uninstall. I am new to XP so bear with me.
    Thanks

    Earl,

This is not installed by Win XP - look at the contents of your modem CD's in Windows Explorer and see if you can locate Supervoice.

    Thanks PeteC,
From you and someone else on another post, both think it came with the Modem software. I will follow both suggestions and track it down.
    Thanks for your suggestions,

SuperVoice is included on Creative ModemBlaster Cd's. Someone would have had to install it at some point, as it isn't part of the Modem's driver install routine. It installs by default to C:\SUPERVOC. If the files have been removed, and there is no picfaxprinter driver among your printers, you may be able to just use a registry cleaner to delete the unconnected entries. Or, if it's not causing any trouble, just leave it alone.

I guess it tried to install after I did a clean install of Win XP home. I had a Creative Modem Blaster running with my Win 98se OS. After being on the phone to MS tec-support for 1 1/2 hours, it was decided that the ModemBlaster Drivers would not work with XP. I then went to Wal-Mart and purchased a U.S. Robotics 56K Faxmodem PCI for Windows. Model 5699B. All went well with the set-up, but I guess part of the software(SuperVoice) from the Modemblaster was left over.
Thanks to everyone who had suggestions,
