Im getting messages that come up once in a great while telling me Im low on virtual memory. Then when I do ctrl+alt+del and look at the performance of the computer the CPU usage is at 4 to 7% and the Commit charge is 153140K/316028K. How can I quit this message from coming up or whet should I turn off in the processes?

Many, if not most, of the processes are the result of the services running.

There are numerous guides online for which services to turn off, which to set to manual and which to leave on automatic but I've found Black Viper's site the easiest to read...and the links to explanations of each service are handy.

Going through the list and changing settings is a little tedious but well worth it in terms of system performance and online security.
