I have been having a few issues with my PC over the last couple of weeks and I have just discoverd another one!

I have applied SP4 and it has created a directory in C:\Windows called "ServicePackFiles" in there are all the SP4 installation files.

If I compare the time date on these files in this directory with those in the c:\windows\system32 and c:\windows\system32\dllcache they are different. All the files in the servicepackfiles dictory are dated 19/06/2003 12:05 and all the files in the system directories are dated 19/06/2003 11:05!

    Example

    C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\Explorer.exe 243,472 19/06/2003 12:05

    C:\Windows\Explorer.exe 243,472 19/06/2003 11:05

    C:\Windows\System32\dllcache\Explorer.exe 243,472 19/06/2003 11:05

Any ideas? or am I just being paranoid?

    Thanks in advance
    Rob

Unless this is keeping you up at night, I wouldn't worry about it.

    :D

Just to add to my paranoia when I replaced the 11.05 Explorer.Exe with the 12:05 version I had no more problems.......oh I love PC's!
