win me boot error

I am unable to boot win me. I am unable to make a boot disk. When I attempt to boot up I get this message:

Error: OE: 0167: BFF8256A.

Can anyone help me please?

You can get a bootdisk here. Go to safe mode and try doing a system restore. If you can't get into safemode this MS Article tells how to do system restore from a command prompt.

Thanks so much for the reply. I now have a boot disk, but now i am getting this message:

While initializing device IFSMGR

The Microssoft installable File System Manager cannot find the helper driver. Please ensure that IFSHLP.SYS has been installed.

System halted

Any more suggestions?

MSKB Article . Are you sure the bootdisk download was successful? If you didn't, use a new IBM formatted floppy. You could also try a bootdisk downloaded from another location.

 

Thanks for all your help. The problem is I have to waiti until I have access to someone else's computer so I can make another win me boot disk. This computer I am on now, there is a problem with the floppy disk drive, therfore I am unable to use it.
