My son is having trouble playing some of his games (Starsiege, Unreal Tournament, F-22 Lightning 3). When loading or playing, sometimes the video disappears and the computer returns to desktop, but the audio continues to play. Any ideas what it might be or how to fix it?

    You could try:

    1. check graphics drivers are up to date and not corrupted
    2. check directx (9.0b) is fully enabled using dxdiag
    3. your card is a cut down version of a full blown Nvidia Ti and there are probably issues of incompatibility - can you try it with a full blown card?
    4. check any VIA drivers for the MoBo are up to date
    5. check all cards and RAM are properly seated
    6. try turning down hardware acceleration a notch
    7. disable the sound card and try with graphics alone just to make sure the sound throughput isn't compromising things.

That's probably enuff for now! Good luck.
