    Hi,

    Merry Xmas everybody !

Is it safe to add the contents of the 'UserData' (C:\Windows)folder to a deletion program ? I understand it contains passwords and personal info etc.

I use a utility called 'WinSysClean' to trim windows and wondered if adding this to it would cause me any problems other than losing stored passwords?

    Hi pomak249,

Which file/folder are you refering to? If you mean the user.dat file located in the windows folder then DO NOT delete this file. This file and the system.dat file make up the registry.

    Hi John,

No - its in explorer under C:\WINDOWS\USERDATA, just below TIF.

It contains folders similar to TIF - which appear empty, the main folder does include an index.dat (i think) - I'm at work now on XP and its not configured the same so I cant check.
