I hope this hasn't been covered before, but, if it has, I could not find it.

I have accumulated a number of programs in my start menu, and I can't see all of them.

Is there any way I can view the programs that are off to the right of my screen.

    Many Thanks.

At the very bottom of the list, is there a little bar with an arrow on it? Clicking on that will expand the list.

Alternatively, you can delete seldom used program shortcuts or ones duplicated from your desktop or Quick Launch bar.

Each column in the Start Menu will be as wide as the longest entry, plus a pretty good sized margin.

Start renaming long entries to make the columns narrower.

You can also make folders within the start menu (right click on the Start button, choose Explore, make new folders and move icons around there), giving them short names like "Internet" and "Office" and "Multimedia" and then group icons within those folders. You can get the Start Menu down to one column if you work at it hard enough. ;)

    Hi Johanna:

    Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately, I don't got no bar with a little arrow.

Guess I will have to try the other suggestions, from you and Miz.

    To Follow-up:

With a little troubleshooting, in my case 'blind luck', I managed to solve my problem. The Start Menu no longer displays multiple columns, it diplays only one, with a bar and little arrow, which allows me to scroll and view all the available programs.

For anyone who may be having the same 'annoyance', this is how I corrected it.

Go to -> Control Panel -> TaskBar and Start Menu -> Start Menu Tab -> Customize (Start Menu Button) -> Advanced -> Check "Scroll Programs ". Apply, OK, Save ??? etc.

I have an excellent memory, but unfortunately it is really short, still, if I remember correctly, I think the end result is a Program Menu which is similar to Windows 98.

    Thanks again for the replies.
