I'm writing on behalf of a friend.

When he clicks to download a file from the web, his browser forwards him to fastwebfinder web page.

It started about a week ago, whilst he was browsing he just continued to get loads of pop ups, & as a result software & such like got installed on his pc. (I must stress he's very new to all this)

All the stuff has now been deleted & clened up, but he still cant download files by clicking on them, if he saves target as, then it' fine.

I've reset all internet connections, browser defaults, cleaned the registery of everything to do with fastweb, & also on the c drive.

I'm now at a loss of what to try next.

Can ne 1 plz suggest a cure.

    Thanx in advance

    Elvardo.

Sounds like he picked up some ad/spy ware. Spybot and AdAware might help clean things up.

(Do a search for Lonny's posts. His signature has the links for both programs. They are free downloads)
